Qureshi arrives in Turkey for emergency OIC meeting

ISLAMABAD: Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi has arrived in Turkey for the OIC meeting.

He was greeted at the Istanbul airport by top officials of the Pakistani Embassy in Turkey.

The foreign minister will address the meeting and discuss Islamophobia. The emergency OIC meeting has been called by Turkey after the Christchurch attacks in New Zealand that left 50 people dead.  Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu will chair the meeting.

He will also meet his counterparts from Turkey, Iran and New Zealand.

Representatives of the United Nations, the European Union and the Organisation for Security and Co-operation in Europe have also been invited to the meeting.
