Rangers to continue operation against terrorists in Karachi: CM




KARACHI: Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah said on Saturday that the Sindh government has directed Rangers to continue its operation against terrorists and criminal elements across the province including Karachi.

He said this during a meeting with Sindh Rangers DG Major General Bilal Akbar, who called on him at Chief Minister House to discuss the law and order situation in Karachi.

Sindh chief minister said that the crackdown against terrorists and extremists in the provincial capital should be stepped up.

“There will no compromise on maintaining law and order in the metropolis,” he said, adding: “There will be an end to criminal elements in the city for sure.”

On the occasion, Rangers DG briefed the chief minister about the measures being taken to control the law and order situation in Karachi.

He said that not a single terrorist will be tolerated. All law enforcement agencies are cooperating with each other.
