Raza Rabbani expresses anger over ministers’ absence in Senate: ‘government not serious to run the house’

ISLAMABAD: Expressing his anger over the absence of ministers, Senate Chairman Raza Rabbani has said that government was not serious to run the House.

“I am ready to resign if the government has any issue with me,” he said.

His remarks came as the minister concerned was called to brief the House on the gas issue, which was highlighted by the Sindh government on Thursday.

The Senate chairman also issued warnings to additional, joint and federal secretaries, adding that he will take stern action according to the Constitution on concealing information from the parliament.

He also warned of strict action against those who will not reply the questions of parliamentarians without any valid reason.

On Thursday, Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah threatening the federal government said that they will take control of Sui Southern office if the province was not provided gas according to its legitimate right.
