Ready to fully cooperate with NAB: CM Sindh Murad Shah

KARACHI: Chief Minister of Sindh Syed Murad Ali Shah has said that he was always ready for full cooperation with the National Accountability Bureau (NAB).

Addressing a ceremony here today, Sindh CM said that he was served with notice by NAB late and that’s why he wanted some time to prepare before appearing in the NAB headquarters.

“I am always ready to cooperate with the NAB. Whenever they want me, I will go. I just need some time for preparation and arrange all the relevant documents the bureau has asked me to provide when visiting them,” Shah said.

Commenting on cleanliness drive in Karachi, the Sindh chief minister said that it will take time to clean Karachi as it was not a small city.

“We [Sindh government] are trying our best to clean the city in one month. Our teams are working day and night to lift garbage from every corner. You will see how Karachi looks after one month. Just wait for it and let us do our job,” he said.

NAB investigation session held amicably, says Murad Ali Shah

Earlier, Chief Minister of Sindh had said that the NAB investigation session was held in an amicable environment.

The chief minister was talking to media after visiting the NAB office to answer questions of the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) officers in an ongoing inquiry against him.

Murad Ali Shah said that the chief justice in a hearing on Joint Investigation Team (JIT) report had ordered removal of his and Bilawal Bhutto Zardari’s names from the exit control list (ECL).

“While reading the JIT report it seems my name is added without any reason,” he said.

He said the NAB has not summoned him again.
