M. M. ALAM

NEW YORK: Suspected Big Apple bomber Afghan-born US citizen Ahmad Khan Rahami has claimed that he had been instructed by ‘terrorist leaders’ to attack non-believers where they lived.

His Jihad Journal  reveals that he had bought the ingredients (citric acid, ball bearings and electronic igniters) to prepare bombs on eBay.

Rahami is accused of setting off explosives in New York City and New Jersey (Saturday September 17th). Thirty-one people got injured in Manhattan as a result of an explosion; all were discharged after treatment the next day.

Sources quoting the Court Papers informed that the suspect in his Journal had prayed that he’d be martyred rather than caught. His warning that ‘bombs would resound in the streets’ was followed by a message proclaiming ‘death to your oppression’.

According to his Journal ‘US government was slaughtering Muslim holy warriors’ and alluded to plans for revenge. It has been reported that he used to get engaged in long discussions that manifested that he had a soft corner for Talibaan.

Interestingly, a couple of years ago FBI looked into him but failed to establish a contact between him and terrorism: “The FBI conducted internal database reviews, inter-agency checks and multiple interviews, none of which revealed ties to terrorism,” the Bureau admitted.

Sources quoting the court complaints held that Rahami got the ware delivered at Perth Amboy (New Jersey) where he was employed by Summit Security till September 12, 2016.

An expert responding to the NewsPakistan.TV query informed that the products delivered by e-Bay were totally legal.

Rahami came to the US as a child, studied criminal justice for a time at a community college. According to reports his wife is a Pakistani national.

arrestedSuspect Rahami who was nabbed outside New Jersey’s Linden Bar following a shoot out, is presently hospitalized with gunshot wounds. His ‘Jihad Journal’ too got stained due to his blood that oozed out when he was shot.
