FAISALABAD: The government has evolved a strategy to resolve genuine issues of the textile sector on a priority basis, and the payment of refund claims will start by the end of this month.
This was stated by Zafar Iqbal Sarwar, coordinator to Abdul Razak Dawood, PM’s adviser on commerce, textile, industry & production while addressing a press conference here Monday.
He said that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) is the only party which raised voice for the textile sector at the time when it was in opposition, and now it would solve their problems on a priority basis.
Earlier, during a press conference, the textile industry representatives unanimously demanded an immediate ban on the export of raw yarn and cotton.
Chairman APTPMA Engineer Rizwan Ashraf, former chairman PHMA Dr Khurram Tariq, Waheed Khaliq Ramay and others also spoke on the occasion.
