ISLAMABAD: The revival of the Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) is one of the top priorities of the government, said Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan.
Speaking with the Adviser to Prime Minister on Aviation Sardar Mehtab Ahmad Khan Abbasi at the Punjab House, he said that integrated and systematic measure should be taken to curb corruption from PIA.
“In order to ensure the revival and development of the national carrier, it is important that a robust mechanism for rooting out corruption should be developed at every level,” the minister said.
He also told the adviser that the current situation of the national airline is a matter of concern.
Sardar Mehtab Abbasi assured the minister to provide full cooperation to FIA for investigation in the institution’s affairs.
