ISLAMABAD: Senate has been told today by FM that deposed prime minister Nawaz Sharif’s foreign trips during his third term had cost the exchequer more than Rs.1b!
FM in a written statement, furnished at the Senate upon the request of PTI, told that Sharif travelled abroad 64 times while in office.
According to his report in 2013 Sharif went out of the country ten times, eleven times in 2014, 23 times in 2015, nine times in 2016 and again 9 times in 2017.
Countries he visited frequently are: Saudi Arabia (7 times), USA (6 times – 4 times to attend UNGA), China (4 times).
