Salman is just a ‘friend’ nothing else: Iulia Vantur opens up about her relationship with Dabangg actor

MUMBAI: Romanian beauty Iulia Vantur, better known as Salman Khan’s rumoured ladylove, has finally opened up about her love relation with Bollywood’s Dabangg actor and said that he is just a good friend and not her boyfriend.

“He is a very good friend and not just to me, but to everyone he meets. He is a great man with a good heart and he is welcoming to everyone. So you know what I think about him,” the singer and anchor said when asked about her love life with Khan during the press meet of her music album with Himesh Reshammiya.

Vantur’s recent statement implies that perhaps the ‘couple’ is not in a relationship.

“As I said, we are very good friends. More than that what can I say? There is a lot of respect for him. It is because of him I met India! And I love India…I love this place, I love the people and I am grateful to all the people I have met here.”

While talking about her debut with Reshammiya, the Romanian singer said that she was excited about returning to the screen after having featured in Ummbakkum (O Teri).

“The video [of Every Night and Day] is being planned. We are figuring out the story, but Himesh wants me in it.”

To a question about her Hindi accent, Vantur said: “I took Hindi classes. Of course, having people around me speak in Hindi all the time helped. I would practice Bollywood songs, and picked up the pronunciation.”

She, however, made it clear that she doesn’t intend to take up music professionally.

“I do it for passion. This song [Every Night and Day] is beautiful. Himesh was waiting for the right composition to work with me,” she added.

When asked about her adjustment issues with the Indian culture and mentality, Vantur said: “I love the vibe and energy of Mumbai and the people I have met so far have only made it better. It is warm and welcoming. They were just incorrect rumours. I am thankful to Salman for introducing me to this country. Every time I leave this place, I have tears in my eyes. It is a good thing that life has brought me back here.”
