Samaa TV’s Ather Mateen shot dead

KARACHI: Ather Mateen, 45, who was associated with Samaa TV has been shot dead by unidentified gunmen in the North Nazimabad area here on Friday (18th of February, 2022) morning. 

According to details, after dropping his kids at school when Ather Mateen was heading back home, two motorcyclists attempted to stop him near Shah Medical Hospital, Block-A North Nazimabad.

When Ather Mateen hit them they fell off the bike and shot him dead before bolting from the scene of crime.

PM  Imran Khan, while condemning the murder of Ather Mateen, said he stood by the grieved family in the hour of grief and directed the concerned authorities to make all-out efforts to take the culprits to task.
