KARACHI: The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) held the third workshop on “Covering Currency Markets”, of its training workshops series-2018, to better develop understanding about the wide range of issues relating to currency markets at the main building of the SBP here today.
The workshop was participated by journalists, and financial market researchers and professionals. The whole-day workshop started at 9:00 a.m. at the SBP Main Building with the introductory speech of SBP’s Chief Spokesman Abid Qamar on the regulations and interventions by the Central Bank in the currency markets for stabilization of currency value.
Chief Trainer Naween Mangi, dealing with the topic of the Covering Currency Markets, gave a detailed presentation and lecture on the basic principles of reporting and writing about the currency markets in international news environment.
Senior Joint Director, SBP’s Domestic Markets and Monetary Management Department, Babar Ali spoke on the understanding of currency markets. He discussed on how currency markets work and the impact of exchange rate on an economy at large.
