ISLAMABAD: A three-member bench of the Supreme Court of Pakistan (SC) will hear the Pakistan Steel Mills case on June 9.
The bench will be headed by the Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Gulzar Ahmed. Other two members include Justice Ijazul Ahsan and Justice Muzahir Ali Naqvi.
The Registrar office has already served notices to the parties in this regard.
The federal government had announced the decision on June 3, approving retrenchment of all the 9,350 employees of the Pakistan Steel Mills (PSM). The decision was taken during a meeting of the Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) of the cabinet presided over by Adviser to the Prime Minister on Finance and Revenue Dr. Abdul Hafeez Shaikh.
