Second edition of PSL to kick off in UAE on Feb 9




DUBAI: The second edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) will be launched next year in February, said a press release by the administration of the league on Wednesday.

According to the statement, the final match of the league will be held in Lahore on March 7.

“PSL2 will be held in Dubai and Sharjah, with all five teams returning to Pakistan to fight for the winner’s trophy,” read the statement.

Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) said that final of the league in Lahore will pave the way for the return of world-class cricket to Pakistan.

“The match, however, appears to be subject to security clearance,” according to the tournament schedule.

“The tournament will commence with a grand opening ceremony in Dubai on Feb 9, and will be followed by the first match of the season between Islamabad United and Peshawar Zalmi, the cricket board said.

The number of match days have been increased from 16 to 18 days for the second tournament.
