Security beefed up for New Year eve

BAHAWALPUR: The city police have chalked out a security plan for the new year eve.

According to police sources, the security has been beefed up for all the public places.

Dolphin Force has been directed to keep vigil on one wheeling, motorcycles without silencers and use of firecrackers in public places.

Pickets have been set up at entry and exit points of the city. Traffic police have also devised a plan to keep the traffic running smoothly.

DSP Traffic Bahawalpur, Zahid Majeed told media that all the U-turns on circular road will be blocked to avoid the traffic jam.

Additional personnel of traffic police would be deployed at traffic signals to ensure the complete execution of traffic laws.
