Security beefed up in Lahore after Data Darbar blast: CCPO

LAHORE: Capital City Police Officer, B. A. Nasir has directed to further beef up the security in the provincial metropolis after the suicide attack outside Data Darbar.

According to official sources, he issued directions to all the divisional SPs to review security arrangements in their respective divisions and set up various pickets points for thorough checking.

He directed the officers to increase the force on all entry and exiting points of the city.

He also directed to maintain a close liaison with intelligence agencies to collect information besides strict checking of hotels, guest houses as well as surveillance and searching of suspicious persons.

CCPO further directed all the divisional SPs to implement these directions in letter and spirit.
