Security forces neutralize 23 terrorists in 3 IBOs

PESHAWAR/TANK/KHYBER: An intelligence based operation was conducted in Hassan Khel area of Peshawar District on Sunday (26th May, 2024) where six terrorists were successfully neutralized by the security forces and multiple hideouts were busted.

Captain Hussain Jehangir and Havaldar Shafiq Ullah paid the ultimate sacrifice for the motherland.

In another operation conducted in Tank District Monday (27th May, 2024) security forces effectively engaged terrorists’ location, as a result of which ten terrorists were killed.

The third engagement occurred in Bagh area of Khyber District during which seven terrorists were eliminated and two others injured.

However, during the intense exchange of fire, five soldiers including Naik Muhammad Ashfaq Butt, Lance Naik Syed Danish Afkar, Sepoy Taimoor Malik, Sepoy Nadir Sagheer and Sepoy Muhammad Yasin paid the ultimate sacrifice for the country.

A large quantity of weapons, ammunition and explosives was also recovered from the killed terrorists, who remained actively involved in numerous terrorist activities against the security forces as well as the innocent civilians.

PESHAWAR: The Army Chief reached here Monday (27th May, 2024) and offered funeral prayer of Sepoy Taimoor Shaheed, Sepoy Nadir Sagheer Shaheed, Sepoy Muhammad Yaseen Shaheed, Lance Naik Syed Danish Afkar Shaheed and Naik Ashfaq Butt Shaheed, who embraced martyrdom during an intense exchange of fire with terrorists at Bagh area of Khyber district.

Army Chief General Syed Asim Munir has reaffirmed the resolve of the Nation to fight the terrorism with full vigor and spirit.

He expressed this resolve after attending the funeral prayer of martyred soldiers in Peshawar today.

A large number of military and civil officials also attended the funeral.

The Army Chief also visited CMH Peshawar to inquire about the well being of troops injured during the operation and appreciated their high morale.

Martyrs will be laid to rest with full military honor at their respective native towns.

They include: Naik Muhammad Ashfaq Butt Shaheed, Lance Naik Syed Danish Afkar Shaheed, Sepoy Taimoor Malik Shaheed, Sepoy Nadir Sagheer Shaheed, and Sepoy Muhammad Yaseen Shaheed.

Senior officers and jawans of the Pakistan Army, relatives and family members of martyrs as well as a large number of local people attended the funeral prayers.
