KARACHI: Office of Research Innovation & Commercialization (ORIC) and Medical Research Centre (MRC) LUMHS here organized a seminar on Higher Education Commission (HEC) Research Grants, in collaboration with HEC Pakistan.
Vice Chancellor LUMHS Prof. Dr Bikha Ram Devrajani presided over while Regional Director HEC Sindh Engr. Javed Memon was the Chief Guest & Keynote Speaker of the seminar that was attended by two hundred participants including LUMHS’ Professors, faculty members, Researchers and students.
Javed Memon, while addressing the LUMHS Academia and students, reassured of HEC support and emphasized on applying for the Research Grants more frequently.
Javed Memon, while briefing about various Research Grant Programs and their procedures to rout the applications, pointed out that HEC was doing its maximum to promote higher education in the country. Seminar participants, by means of statistics, also endorsed his claim.
On the occasion Appreciation Awards & Certificates were given to LUMHS’ researchers and scholars. Those who received the accolades included Prof. Aneela A. Rahman, Dr Binafsha Manzoor, Dr Ali Muhammad Wariyah, Prof. Sohail Alamani, Prof. Dr Mehrunissa Khaskheli, Dr Asadullah Makhdoom, Dr Fasih Hashmi and Dr Samreen Memon. ORIC Research Certificate Course trainees also received certificates.
Conspicuous among others present at the seminar there were Prof. Dr Aneela A. Rahman, (PVC Academics) Prof. Dr. Munir A. Junejo (PVC Admin), and Deans/Directors of LUMHS.
