Shanghai Masters: Wimbledon Champion Roger Federer beat World No.1 Rafael Nadal!

SHANGHAI: It took the 36-year-old Swiss Wimbledon Champion Roger Federer 72 minutes to beat Spanish World No. 1 Rafael Nadal 6-4 6-3 to clinch the Shanghai Masters trophy here today.

The world’s top two giants who had clashed in 23 finals earlier faced each other one more time today.

As rain forced the management close the roof, Federer soon built his lead against the King of Clay Nadal who is reckoned the greatest clay-court player in the tennis history. 

When asked that his place at the pinnacle could now be snatched by Federer, the 31-year-old Spaniard said that he was concentrating on the ATP Finals at London next month.

Federer too called London game his priority.
