KARACHI: Sindh Minister for Information Sharjeel Inam Memon and Advisor to Chief Minister on Law Barrister Murtaza Wahab have urged the Supreme Court to take a suo motu notice of climbing over a wall of apex court Lahore’s registry by PTI goons.

In a joint press conference at Frere Hall on Saturday, they said that PTI goons tried to climb over the apex court wall Friday night.

“We condemn it”, they said, adding that the apex cout should take its notice. They said that the apex court should also listen to the petition of PTI by forming a full court bench and decide it.

According to a communique issued here, Sharjeel Memon and Murtaza Wahab alleged that PTI captain was instilling hatred in the minds of the people across the country and urged the Supreme Court to also notice of it, too.

They alleged that Imran Khan’s motive was to keep under pressure the court, establishment and election commission for his gains.

Sharjeel claimed that foreign funding case was very important. It was not possible that there would be a separate law for PTI and another for others, he added.

Advisor to the Prime Minister on Kashmir Affairs Qamar Zaman Kaira on Saturday endorsed the ruling of deputy speaker Punjab assembly Dost Mohammad Mazari in the election of chief minister Punjab.

“What Mazari has done, it was as per law and the constitution,” Kaira said while addressing a press conference.

Kaira said the Punjab Assembly deputy speaker had rejected the vote of Pakistan Muslim League Q party members in light of the apex court decisions.

The members of the political parties were bound to follow the decision of the party leadership and it was the prerogative of the party head to take decisions in the favor of its voters, Kaira clarified.

Mentioning the protest call of PTI chief Imran khan, Kaira said Imran Khan was trying to influence the courts by provoking its voters to get decisions in his favor as he only accepted the decisions of his own choice.

Keeping in view the current political scenario, Kaira said the apex court should allow a full bench and give a comprehensive decision to avert other political crises.

Kaira said parliamentary matters should be resolved in the parliament instead of going to the courts every time, but unfortunately it had now become a tradition to challenge the parliament’s ruling in the courts.

Rejecting accusations of horse trading during the run-off election of the Chief Minister Punjab, Kaira said all the stories published and broadcast on television were fabricated.

Meanwhile, Federal Minister for Planning and Development Ahsan Iqbal has asked why Imran Niazi is considered above the law despite disrespecting the Constitution and committing contempt of the court.

Addressing a press conference Ahsan Iqbal said Imran Khan used abusive language against institutions and courts; he was involved in foreign funding scam, he said the country could become Sri Lanka, he claimed division in the forces and attempted to involve courts in political cases by pressuring them through the social media, but no legal action was taken against him despite all these things.

Ahsan Iqbal said that it was Imran whose government signed an agreement with the International Monetary Fund (IMF), which brought stress on the country’s economy. “It is you who is responsible for destruction of Pakistan’s economy,” he told Imran Khan
