Sheikh Rashid free to express personal opinions: Iftikhar Durrani

ISLAMABAD: Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Media Iftikhar Durrani on Monday said that Federal Minister for Railways Sheikh Rasheed could hold his personal views as he possessed a political party which was allied to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).

Replying to a question, Iftikhar Durrani expressed that “Sheikh Rasheed is an important ally of the PTI and both Fawad Chaudhary, Information Minister and he (Sheikh Rasheed) are free to express their opinion as well”.

They had not breached the party discipline by merely expressing their views, he said.

“Criticizing a decision and articulating opinions about it are entirely different approaches” he said.

“Moreover expressing views is the charm of the democracy”, he remarked.

Durrani to a query said that one to one meeting between opposition leaders and Prime Minister Imran Khan was not necessary as Shah Mehmood Qureshi was handling the affairs dutifully.
