Sikh pilgrims to celebrate Baisakhi festival tomorrow

LAHORE: Sikh pilgrims from India joined hands with Pakistani Sikh Community to celebrate Baisakhi festival to be held tomorrow (April 14).

The festival will be held at Gurdwara Panja Sahib, Hassan Abdal in Punjab.

Federal Minister for Religious Affairs Pir Noor ul Haq Qadri and Chairman Evacuee Trust Property Board Tahir Ehsan will be chief guests on this occasion.

Tahir Ehsan, Secretary ETPB Tariq Wazir, Pardhan Pakistan Sikh Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee Sardar Tara Singh, local Sikh leaders and board officials received them warmly.

Baisakhi is a historical religious festival in Sikhism, which is celebrated in mid of April. This event marks the Punjabi and Sikh new year. It is a spring harvest festival for the Sikhs.
