BANNU (KP): Security forces have neutralised six khwarij when they attempted to invade the MaliKhel Checkpost here on Tuesday (19th November, 2024).
When the khwarij failed to enter the batiment they rammed the explosive-laden vehicle into the parameter that claimed lives of 12 Pakistani soldiers (including 2 belonging to FC).
Terrorist activities are on the rise in this area. For instance, o 18th Nov unidentified militants seized control of Rocha check post here and abducted seven cops (Saleem, Aqal Rehman, Mewah Jan, Roshan, Abdul Malik, Neematullah and Shad Muhammad) deployed there with their weapons. Following successful negotiations with local elders in a jirga, militants set them free.
Similarly, on 30th day of October, 2024 LEA’s carried out an IBO in Bakka Khel area here during which eight khwarij had been neutralised and seven other militants were injured while Major Atif Khalil, Naik Azad Ullah and Lance Naik Ghazanfar Abbas gave the ultimate sacrifice for the motherland.
