PESHAWAR: Offering themselves for impartial probe many PTI MPAs have claimed that they never sold their votes.
It is pertinent to mention here that PTI Chief Imran Khan had named 21 lawmakers who (according to him) had taken a bribe of 40 million rupees each to vote for PPP candidate.
PTI MPA Fozia Bibi from Chitral addressing a Presser here at Press Club yesterday (19th of April) alleged that some individuals within the party had conspired against her. She alleged that the unnamed plotters were involved in her character assassination.
Maintaining that those found guilty of selling their votes should be punished, Fozia demanded of Imran Khan to refer the matter to NAB.
At a separate Presser MPA Meraj Humayun, while claiming innocence, said she was shocked to learn about the horse-trading charge.
“I joined the PTI after the Senate elections, which was held on March 3, and therefore, the PTI has no right to level such serious corruption allegation against me because I was not bound to poll vote to the PTI candidate at that time,” maintained Meraj Humayun.
Another PTI MPA Faisal Zaman (from Haripur), holding Holy Quran, spoke to the journalists claiming that he had voted for the party nominee.
Claiming to be from a well-to-do family that spends millions on philanthropic acts, Faisal Zaman said selling vote for only few crores was illogical. He too pointed towards a conspiracy hatched against him by PTI members from Haripur.
MPA Wajiuzaman Khan while rejecting the allegations said he would take Imran Khan to court for defaming him.
