Spanish consulate employee found dead at his Islamabad residence




ISLAMABAD: Police on early Thursday morning found the dead body of a Spanish consulate employee in Pakistan, Juan José Giner from his residence.

According to details, Giner, who had been residing in Pakistan for last 34 years, was shot dead in his own house.

“Police recovered a pistol from Giner’s residence,” said Superintendent Police (SP) City Shaikh Zubair, adding that the pistol was found near Giner’s body.

Zubair suggested that it may have been a case of suicide.

However, he said, a forensic mobile lab had reached the spot and further investigations are underway.

He said that Giner’s body had been shifted to Polyclinic hospital and the Spanish consulate had been informed of the incident.
