Speaker NA administers oath to Hamza as CM Punjab

ISLAMABAD: Speaker of National Assembly Raja Pervez Ashraf has administered oath to Hamza Shehbaz as the 21st Chief Minister of Punjab on Saturday (30th of April, 2022) according to the order of LHC. 

Taking to the Twitter Chief Minister Punjab Hamza Shehbaz stated: “Took oath as the 21st Chief Minister of Punjab. Prosperity and development of the province and the people are my guiding principals”.

Hours before the oath-taking ceremony Governor of Punjab has rejected the resignation of the previous CM Usman Buzdar thus further complicating the matter.

Meanwhile, Usman Buzdar had chaired a cabinet meeting sans any agenda at the Provincial Assembly.  When he was leaving the Punjab Assembly he was not provided the security.

Moreover, Governor took to the Twitter to state: “As the Governor, I am not allowing the notification of appointment of any unconstitutional fake Chief Minister. An attempt has been made to prepare a fake notification as it was fabricated to swear an oath by bullying and forgery”.
