Special Court directs Musharraf to record his statement: High-Treason Case

ISLAMABAD: Three-Judge Special Court headed by Peshawar High Court CJ Mazhar Alam Miankhel has directed retired general Pervez Musharraf on Tuesday to record his statement on March 31 apropos high-treason case against him.

Statement  u/s 342 CrPC takes place following completion of proof production. Musharraf will be asked to accept or deny the evidence collected against him by the prosecution.

Musharraf’s defense counsel has informed the court that his client did not appear to attend the  proceedings as he was not physically fit to travel.
