Spotify claims it’s reached 30 million subscribers

NEW YORK: Swedish entertainment and streaming service Spotify Tuesday claims it has reached 30 million paying subscribers.

Daniel Ek, company’s chief executive announced about achieving the milestone in a comment on twitter, praising Obama on his historic visit to Cuba.

“We have 30 million Spotify subscribers, but none of them are in Cuba yet so cool to see Cuba opening up!” Spotify chief executive Daniel Ek tweeted.

 

Spotify claimed to have 20 million paying subscribers last year out of more than 75 million regular subscribers.
