HOUSTON: Gender discrimination is found all around the globe. However, it seems to be serious in the Sub-Continent (India, Bangladesh and Pakistan).
Not only jeune ladies, but girl children also get persuaded apropos sexual category prejudice.
Regarding this, a research claimed that, girls, by the age of six, reckon boys as brighter and smarter as compared to them.
Around 400 children (both girls and boys) have been assessed to prove this. Academics’ narrated a tale apropos a person who was really smart.
The kids were then canvassed to guess the protagonist of the story. Both boys and girls chose boys.
The researchers asserted that children are engrossing the stereotypes of their gender and this needs to be tackled urgently.
Once they penetrate in school life, they learn much about the cultural values and the information concerning the societal world.
As a result, girls keep themselves away from the sorts of commotions that are believed to be for really smart kids.
Besides, media, peers, teachers and parents also play a crucial role in promoting such stereotype beliefs.
Boys always keep on using phrases like ‘I am smart’ or ‘I am strong’ in front of girls.
These later on prevent the girls from pursuing the professions that entail particular skills.
This makes them more vulnerable to lose their confidence, considering themselves as weak and fragile.
