Swat: Five children injured in explosion in under-construction school building

SWAT: Five children were injured in an explosion outside an under-construction school building in a village in Barakot Tehsil here on Wednesday, police said.

The children were playing near the school when the explosion occurred. The explosives were hidden underground that went off.

“Police and security forces arrived at the scene and began investigations [into the incident] while the injured children were shifted to the Saidu Teaching hospital,” said Deputy Superintendent of Police Barakot Syed Zaman Shan.
