AIMAN INAM

KARACHI: Life is a tough game and we have to face innumerable challenges time to time. However, not every person has the capacity to bear the brunt of the hard times and hence, individuals come out with severe stress.

Among the symptoms of stress, one is cold sweat. Whenever you feel under abrupt pressure, you started sweating cold and the sensation can be mild to acute.

It is to be noted that fear, stress and pain are considered the major triggers of cold sweats. However, in serious consequences, it can be caused by anxiety, trauma, heart attack, hypoxia ( breathing problems), low blood glucose, hot flashes, menopause and infection such as tuberculosis and HIV.

Its warning signs may vary from person to person. However, some of the most prevalent symptoms incorporate increased heart rate, rapid and shallow breathing, reduced blood circulation that triggers dry mouth, discharge of endorphins and the opening of sweat glands.

The good news is that we can cure this condition with the help of the following tips:

  • Individuals should do yoga or meditation in the open air in order to get rid of it.
  • They can also indulge in workout as exercise will help them to lay off their steam.
  • Consume healthful diet and stay away from caffeine as this could make the situation worse.

It is pertinent to mention here that if you go through the mentioned afore symptoms, address the issue at once. Consult with the doctor and take proper treatment as it is better to be safe than to be sorry!
