The 1st woman/African DG of WTO

GENEVA: Former Nigerian finance minister Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala has made history by becoming the first woman and first African director-general WTO.

It is pertinent to mention here that former occupant of White House had not only opposed her, he even threatened to pull the US out of the world body.

Nevertheless, she will have her work hard to justify the posting.
