Three hand grenade attacks create panic in Karachi

KARACHI: At least one policeman was injured while several vehicles were damaged when unidentified men hurled three hand grenades within the span of just two hours at Mobina Town Police Station in Gulshan-e-Iqbal Town, Karimabad area of Liaquatabad Town and North Nazimabad in Karachi on Friday.

Law enforcers arrived at the site and cordoned off the area.

SSP Central Muqqadas Haider said the hand grenade was hurled from Karimabad flyover.

In another incident, armed men launched hand grenade attack near a private school in North Nazimabad.

Police suspect involvement of the same group of suspects behind all such attacks, Karachi Police chief Mushtaq Sukhera said.

This is not the first time that suspects have targeted law enforcers conducting the Karachi operation against terrorists.
