Three quarters of the world population will be using mobile phones by 2020

KARACHI: Association of mobile operators GSMA has stated in its Mobile Economy Report that 5.7 billion people (three quarters of humanity)   will be using mobile phones by 2020.

This figure has been calculated keeping increasing population of India and other Asian countries.

India is expected to add over three million new subscribers in the next three years while whole Asia will account for half total increase.

People’s propensity towards mobile broadband networks and Smartphones has also been remarked.
