WASHINGTON: President Donald Trump, terming Harvard (that produced 162 Nobel laureates) a ‘joke’, took to his Truth Social platform to state: “Harvard is a joke, teaches hate and stupidity, and should no longer receive federal funds.”

Trump held: “Harvard can no longer be considered even a decent place of learning, and should not be considered on any list of the world’s great universities or colleges.”

Writing to the Harvard Community University President Alan Garber stated: “The university will not surrender its independence or relinquish its constitutional right!”
