TTP announces indefinite ceasefire

KABUL: TTP porte parole, Muhammad Khorasani, while maintaining that substantial progress has been made in talks with the incumbent Afghan government, has announced indefinite ceasefire here on Thursday (2nd of June, 2022). 

Maintaining that the talks would recommence in days to come, Khorasani proclaimed: “There had been substantial progress in talks over the past two days. As a result, the TTP leadership has announced an indefinite ceasefire.”

It is pertinent to mention here that a day earlier (on Wednesday 1st of June, 2022) a 50-member tribal jirga from Pakistan also joined the parleys.
