TTP Top Leader Khorasani killed

KARACHI: According to reports Top Commander of Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) Omar Khalid Khorasani has been assassinated in Paktika explosion on Sunday 7th of August, 2022. 

Two other men who were killed in the explosion had been identified as Mufti Hassan and Hafiz Dawlat Khan.

Interestingly, Omar Khalid Khorasani had been part of the TTP team that was engaged in negotiations with Pakistan.

It may be recalled that  believing that TTP leaders were deviating from the tehreek’s original ideology, Omar Khalid Khorasani and others from Mohmand Agency had founded Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan Jamaat Ahrar in 2014 after leaving TTP.

Following the formation of TTPJA, TTP chief Maulvi Fazalullah had shown Omar Khalid Khorasani the door.
