Turkish diplomat-turned-lensman to expose snaps at AFK on Wed. 17th May

KARACHI: Turkish diplomat-turned-photographer Erkut Onart’s exposition of photographs titled Two nations bonded by faith, culture & brotherhood is scheduled to be opened on Saturday 17th of May 6.30 PM here at French Cultural Centre (AFK)’s art gallery.

Erkut Onart was born in Edremit, Turkey. He graduated from Galatasaray High School in Istanbul and earned his undergraduate degree from the Political Sciences Faculty of the University of Ankara.

After completing his graduate studies at the University of Nancy in France and John Hopkins University in Italy, he joined the Turkish diplomatic corps in 1964.

He served at the United Nations Headquarters in New York as well as Accra, Tabriz, Luxembourg, Manama, Geneva and Rotterdam.
