LONDON: Some 1.9 million refugees entered thirty European countries during 2014-2015. That means UK’s fair share would have been 240,000 for two years.
Instead of admitting 120,000 refugees per annum UK – having a population of 65 million – has let 170,000 fewer than its fair share in two years.
Countries harboring less than a million citizens have taken more refugees. For instance, Hungary let 143,000, Sweden took 91,000 while Austria allowed 53,000 refugees.
