LAHORE: While narrating his unpleasant experience with the Umrah guide identified as Salaar, a close friend of my told the following incident.
“Tickets of Salam Air were booked for us, 19 Umrah pilgrims (for Saturday-Sunday night on 21st Dec, 2025 at 3.25 am) from Lahore Airport for Madina.
I, along with my younger son took bus on 20th December 2025 from Faizabad at 3pm and reached Lahore Airport at 11pm, much before the required time. Another passenger also reached there at the same time.
But the aforementioned Umrah guide Salaar, (who was having our passports, air tickets, hotel reservation and travel vouchers within Saudi Arabia) along with 16 others passengers started journey very late in the evening from Bhakkar despite our several requests and completely ignoring weather conditions (smog) on motorway and within Lahore city). On the way they even had dinner (more important for them than reaching on time. )
Finally they reached at 2.55 am at the Lahore Airport whereas the flight was scheduled to take-off at 3.25 am. We hurriedly passed through security checks and when reached the boarding counter at 3.15 am, only 10 minutes prior to flight, the young man on duty stood up and told us that it was too late and that the boarding was completely closed, he didn’t listen to our request as he was perhaps bound to leave the counter.
Finally we missed the flight. And all were cursing their fortune (قسمت) saying that all this happened to all of us due to anger of Allah towards us and due to our sins and our bad deeds, without realising their own height of negligence.
We have suffered heavy financial losses and mental disturbance. Moreover, the Umrah guide Salaar opted for a non-refundable return air ticket due to cheapest fares even selecting without meals (nonsense inhuman and selfish decision) during 3h30 travel time from Lahore to Muscat with additional 2 hours transit and onwards same flight timings from Muscat to Madina.”
Umrah guide Salaar resorted to give lame excuse that Allah has not called them to visit His house.
بلاوا نہیں آیا تھا ہم بہت گنہگار ہیں, اللہ تعالیٰ کی ذات ہم سے ناراض ہے
Trying their best to get another flight, they are wondering when Allah will forgive them and call to visit His Home.
