UNDP to extend cooperation to PMYP for youth

ISLAMABAD: The United Nation Development Programme (UNDP ) has decided to extend its cooperation to Prime Minister’s Youth Program (PMYP) in fields of education, employment and social engagements.

The project is meant to empower youth by reducing young women and men’s vulnerability and exclusion through their economic empowerment, social engagement and education/skills.

According to an official, the institutional partnership between UNDP and PYMP will serve the shared objectives for Pakistani youth’s of their quality education and gainful employment.

He said that UNDP pledges $30 million for youth empowerment initiatives in Pakistan to boost up their livelihood.

He said that it will be joint efforts of UNDP and PMYP to facilitate maximum youth.

He said that UNDP has made a commitment with the Government of Pakistan for education, employment and skills development of the youth of the country.
