ISLAMABAD: PM, during a meeting with Finance Advisor and Special Assistant on Youth Affairs has approved augmentation of upper limit of loan under Kamyab Jawan Program from Rs. 5 million to Rs. 25 million in order to enable youngsters think of opting for bigger enterprises.
The applicable markup rate has also been reduced from eight percent. PM stated that as soon as the lockdown is relaxed that young entrepreneurs would be encouraged.
PM held that youth was an asset of the country who would contribute enormously towards the economic development of Pakistan.

ISLAMABAD: Addressing on the occasion of the opening ceremony of PTI’s initiative Kamyab Jawan Program, Prime Minister Imran Khan has said that the resolve of his government was to promote the culture of merit and honesty in the country.
PM held that youth was future of Pakistan and destiny depended on them. According to Imran Khan PTI government strongly believed in merit and transparency and Kamyab Jawan was the program of merit.
Holding that only those nations move forward in the world that follow the rule of merit, PM noted as a result of establishment of state of Madinah by Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), the Muslims ruled the world for over a thousand years. Imran Khan further said that meritocracy and uprightness were the hallmarks of Madinah which helped it succeed.
Focusing on the causes of the decline of Muslim control over the world he said that the main reason was the adoption of monarchy and not giving democratic rights to their society. He further said the Mughal Empire crumbled as they did not follow the rule of merit. He urged the youth to study the life of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) as he was a role model for the whole world.
Felicitating all stakeholders for launching the first phase of program for youth of the country, Imran Khan said Muslims needed to change mentality to become a self-reliant and self-esteemed nation. For that culture of tax paying needed to be evolved.
Earlier, addressing the ladies and gentlemen in the audience Assistant to Prime Minister on Youth Affairs Usman Dar said this program would launch Pakistani youth to the way to prosperity. He said 68 percent of Pakistan’s population consists of youth. He expressed regret that previous governments failed to devise policies for the development of youth. He said our government had prepared the country’s first Youth Development Framework, under which work was being carried out in six areas.
Loans of lesser than Rs. 100,000 will be given sans interest and will be distributed on priority basis in 45 under-privileged districts.
Under Kamyab Jawan Program, one hundred billion rupees will be distributed among youth as loans for their business ventures. The youth are being provided loans under three categories. It is anticipated that the program will benefit one million young people. Two hundred feasibility have also been made available online to help assist the youth in working on business ideas.
Women folk would be given quota of twenty five percent to increase their share in the national economy. Kamyab Jawan program has been prepared under National Youth Development Framework and it will act as milestone to make youth of the country independent. The program will help cope with unemployment and poverty. An integrated system has been developed for transparent and modern scrutiny of applications.
UNDP extends assistance to PM’s Kamyab Jawan Programme

ISLAMABAD: United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) has extended its assistance to Prime Minister’s Kamyab Jawan Programme in order to ensure socio-economic development of youth.
According to an official, UNDP would launch various initiatives under Prime Minister’s Kamyab Jawan Programme from talent exploration to multiple employment opportunities that would not only improve economic condition of the unemployed potential young generation of the country but also help enhancing their professional skills.
