WASHINGTON: US State Department spokesperson John Kirby Tuesday lauded efforts by Pakistan and India for reducing tension and resolving outstanding issues.
According to a statement issued by Washington State Department, John Kirby appreciated the role of Pakistan and India against terrorism at a briefing in Washington.
“US government was looking forward to having Pakistan represented at the Nuclear Summit and to being able to continue to have meaningful dialogue about issues of nuclear security,” read the statement quoting Kirby as saying.
PM Nawaz will attend the Nuclear Security Summit in Washington on March 31-April 1.
