KARACHI: Conrad Tribble, the outgoing head of the diplomatic mission here, attired in traditional kurta, pajama and Sadri (waskat), celebrated the 77th independence day of Pakistan, here on Wednesday (14th August, 2024), by planting a sapling on the Consulate’s lawn.
Commenting on his gesture, Consul General Conrad Tribble held: “This August 14th, let’s celebrate freedom by planting for a greener future, and investing in a greener Pakistan.
“One tree at a time, we can create a thriving and sustainable environment, for generations of Pakistan to come. Wishing you peace, prosperity and progress, Jashn-e-Azadi Mubarak!”
The US diplomatic mission here stated: “On this auspicious day, August 14, 2024, US Consulate General Karachi joins the American people in extending heartfelt congratulations to Pakistan on its 77th Independence Day. This milestone also marks 77 years of diplomatic relations between our two nations. Our enduring partnership is founded on mutual goals of economic growth, shared prosperity, and regional stability. As Pakistan celebrates this significant anniversary, we reaffirm the United States’ dedication to our longstanding friendship with the Pakistani people and our collaborative relationship with Pakistan’s government.
