US CG Grace Shelton holds Tennis and Badminton Diplomacy Day

KARACHI: After cricket and football US Consulate General has added Tennis and Badminton to its arsenal in its latest edition of sports diplomacy at CG’s official residence situated on FJR Wednesday  9th of August.

According to details the American diplomatic mission and Sindh Tennis Association co-sponsored the Tennis & Badminton Diplomacy Day involving forty boys and girls studying in local area schools to play and learn the games.

Speaking on the occasion Consul General said that sports offered a tremendous opportunity to enhance mutual understanding, as it brings people and nations together”.

The goal of sports diplomacy is to promote the positive attributes of sports, including teamwork, physical fitness and the positive effect sports can have on the self-esteem of Pakistani girls and boys.
