Before leaving for India, US Secretary of State and Pak PM talk in presence of COAS!

ISLAMABAD: Venue is the PM House here where parleys are presently going on between the US Secretary of State Rex W. Tillerson and Prime Minister Shahid Khakan Abbasi, in presence of COAS, DG ISI, ministers holding key portfolios. 

 American Media had insinuated that Tillerson’s visit was meant to deliver a tough message to Pakistan vis-à-vis Trump’s allegation apropos harboring safe haven for terrorists.

According to details Pak PM has told Americans that Pakistan was not only committed to the war on terror but also produced results: “We have produced results. And we are looking forward to moving ahead with the US and building a tremendous relationship”.

Tillerson who was received by Foreign Office staff at Rawalpindi Airport on his arrival today was earlier taken to the US Embassy here.

Before coming to Pakistan, Tillerson made a secret visit to the Bagram Airfield in Afghanistan to meet Afghan officials inside a bunker.
