US urges Pakistan-India to de-escalate the tensions




WASHINGTON: White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest has said Pakistan and India should work together to reduce tensions.

“The United States encourages Pakistan and India to act with maximum restraint and work together to reduce tensions in the region,” he said adding that de-escalating the tension between these two countries is a priority of the United States.

Moreover, Earnest said that improvements in bilateral relations between Pakistan and India could greatly enhance prospects for lasting peace, stability and prosperity in the region.
