We are fighting against dictatorship garbed as democracy: Bilawal

LOWER DIR: Chairman PPP-P Bilawal Bhutto Zardari while addressing a public gathering here today has stated his party that had confronted dictators in the past was now fighting against dictatorship garbed as democracy. 

He said that Imran Khan used to speak for the freedom of Media but now he was gagging the freedom of speech and expression. Bilawal stressed that his Party workers gave blood for the Constitution. of Pakistan. 

Bilawal Bhutto criticizing monetary policies of PTI government said that Imran Khan was against taking loans now he had taken loans from IMF hypotheticating the entire nation. 

Pointing out towards the augmenting prices of the essential commodities he said he asked the audience were not the lentils and petrol dearer than before? He further pointed out that the amount of income tax collected during PTI reign was the lowest in the history of the country.

Criticizing the Asset Declaration Amnesty Scheme of the present government Bilawal Bhutto Zardari noted that was for the rich while there was nothing for the poor who were given a anti-people budget. 

Pointing towards imposition of taxes on a number of commodities he said now one would have to pay tax and provide money trail even for buying a goat. 

He said that for the first time in history Army had been deployed in and outside the polling station. This he said had made the institution controversial. Bilawal Bhutto claimed that elections in the tribal areas were also being rigged and instead of election members were being selected.

Reminding that the first hospital in Bajur was constructed by PPP-P Government he said by means of the 18th Amendment the populace of the region was given an identity and the biggest amount of budget in history was given for the development of the region. He said with the support of people PPP-P would transform the country  into Bhutto’s Pakistan. 

Addressing the ECP he asked how many elections would be rigged for Imran Khan. He said that the elections in the tribal areas would show whether it was election commission or selection commission. He further lamented that the PTI government was endeavoring to stop him from going to tribal areas. 

Asking as to what kind of democracy was that he said that despite knowing that elections were being rigged he was confident that PPP-P workers who fought the dictators could fight the puppets too. He said that only those who had fought for the peoples’ rights and sacrificed their lives for them were remembered by the masses. 

Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said that banning of programs from channels was another form of censorship that should end immediately as PPP-P would not tolerate ban on Media and it was with journalists fraternity. He said that Selected PM wanted all channels to eulogize him.

Paying rich tribute to Burhanuddin Vani he said soon Kashmir would be liberated. He said imposition of curfew at the death anniversary was state terrorism of India that could not muffle the voice of people. He said that PPP-P had always supported Kashmiris politically and morally. 

 

 

Earlier on the occasion of the 3rd death anniversary Bilawal Bhutto Zardari  in his message praised the services rendered by Edhi for the suffering masses. He said that we must promise today to follow the footsteps of Edhi who served the humanity without any discrimination apropos color or caste.
