MULTAN: Denying any connection of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) with Uzair Jan Baloch, Sindh Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah that his government had also taken action against the notorious Lyari gangster.
Speaking to media persons in Multan on Sunday, Shah said that he was unaware about the date of Baloch’s arrest.
“When was he (Uzair Baloch) arrested? I have no idea but people are saying that Uzair Jan was arrested from Pakistan,” he said.
To a question, he said that corruption was not confined to Sindh only.
“Corruption has been a problem for the whole of Pakistan,” he maintained.
The chief minister said that anti-corruption department and NAB were doing their job to deal with the menace of corruption.
Shah further said that law and order situation in Sindh had been poor for the past 30 years, but things were better now.
“Whenever army chief comes to Karachi, he meets me,” he added.
