Wicket keeper-batsman Rizwan is a Superstar: Afridi

ABU DHABI: Former Pakistani all-rounder Shahid Afridi took to the Twitter to appreciate the game of Multan Sultans’ Skipper Mohammad Rizwan.

It may be recalled that on 13th of June (2021) he had scored 82 runs off 56 balls contributing enormously towards his team’s win against Zalmis in a PSL-6 clash. His  unbeaten innings included nine fours and two sixes.


Afridi, whose back injury prevented him from playing, stated: “Brilliant all-round performance by my Multan Sultans last night! Rizwan’s been an absolute superstar for MS and Pakistan both, long may it continue. Outstanding performances by Dahani and Sohaib Maqsood. Keep the fight going boys.”

In another Tweet he held: “Wonderful start to HBL PSL 6 Abu Dhabi-leg. lahore qalandars looking great, outstanding bowling by Rashid Khan! Congratulations to my team Multan Sultans on the win last night. Hoping to see team continue the fight back.”

PS: When 17 Mohammad Rizwan played for Peshawar College team and due to his talent found a place in the Pakistan national team at the age of 22. In fact when Younis Khan and Misbah called it a day, a vacuum was created in the middle order and hence Rizwan found a place in the squad.
