‘You will always be my captain,” Kohli to MS Dhoni

NEW DEHLI (JAN 06, 2017): Indian skipper Virat Kohli has praised former One0day International (ODI) captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni saying that the former would always be his captain.

“Thanks for always being the leader a youngster wants to have around him. You’ll always be my captain @msdhoni Bhai”, said Kohli on his official Twitter account.

The 28-year-old’s remarks came two days after Dhoni announced that he was stepping down as the ODI and T20I captain.

Kohli, who is likely to become Dhoni’s predecessor, made his Test and ODI debuts under the 35-year-old’s captaincy and the swashbuckling right-hander was quick to thank India’s most successful captain for donning the role of a perfect senior in the dressing room.
